Valerie Duncan, AMFT
Valerie Duncan, Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), received her Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Friends University, Wichita, KS. She has experience working with individuals, couples, and families, from young children to those in their later years. Valerie has completed Level 2 training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and utilizes Gottman Method Couples Therapy when working with couples. She also has experience working with women and families in the perinatal period. Valerie believes in the importance of developing a strong therapeutic alliance as part of the therapy process. She does this by creating a space free from judgement, and by utilizing the strengths and personal resources that already exist within her clients.
