Sarah Richards, CMCH-I
Sarah Richards (CMHC-I), Clinical Mental Health Counselor-Intern provides therapy at Feller Behavioral Health while completing her master degree at Adam’s State University. For the past 6 years she has been providing Mindfulness Training, including Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), in community, medical, corporate and educational settings. Additionally, Sarah has been providing mental health counseling for teens who struggle with anxiety, depression, self-harm and suicidal ideation. Though a lens of attachment, trauma and neurobiology, she uses an integrative approach to healing, recognizing that the client has the ability to utilize their own innate resources through the therapeutic process. Sarah has experience working with major depression, anxiety disorders, trauma (PTSD, Complex PTSD) and personality disorders (borderline personality disorder [BPD], obsessive-compulsive personality disorder [OCPD].
Therapeutic modalities: Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based modalities (DBT, MBCT) and Lifespan Integration Therapy (neurobiological approach to trauma treatment).
