Ruth Stubbs, Master of Social Work (MSW), Certified Social Worker (CSW), provides psychotherapy addressing a variety of mental health disorders and working with clients to navigate interpersonal relationship challenges. Ruth received her undergraduate degree in social work from Brigham Young University and her master of social work from the University of Utah in 2003, and is currently pursuing a doctorate degree in educational leadership at the University of Utah. She has extensive experience working with diverse communities, adolescents, young adults, women, education, non-profit agencies and presenting at local conferences. She enjoys working with all clients including those with mood disorders, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, couples counseling, family and parenting, diversity issues, grief, stress management and life transitions. Ruth uses a strengths-based approach in helping clients feel empowered and heard, so that they can become more capable to navigate their challenges and find solutions towards making positive changes in their lives. Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotionally-Focused Therapy, Attachment Based Therapy, Multicultural Therapy, and other evidence-based therapies.
