David M. Haralson, PhD, LMFT

David Haralson is a therapist at Feller Behavioral Health. Dr. Haralson received his Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Colorado State University and his Ph.D. in Medical Family Therapy from East Carolina University. He has extensive experience working with individuals, couples, and families across the lifespan – anywhere from 2 years old and up. Dr. Haralson is bi-lingual in both Spanish and English and has also worked extensively with the Spanish-speaking and Latino population and has published several articles on how to provide culturally-attuned parenting services for Latino parents. He thoroughly enjoys working with couples and entire family systems, especially with young children, teenagers, and their parents. Dr. Haralson’s experience as professor has provided him with knowledge in many different clinical areas –  depression and anxiety, childhood behavioral problems, marriage and couple relationship problems, grief and loss, trauma, parenting challenges, body image issues, and issues related to gender and sexuality. His therapy approach is culturally-sensitive, trauma-informed, and emotionally-focused. He uses a variety of therapeutic techniques, including narrative, solution-focused, and emotionally-focused therapy. Dr. Haralson is a Clinical Member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) and an AAMFT Approved Supervisor.
