Christopher Johnston, AMFT
Chris earned a BA degree in Communications from Saint Mary’s College of California, and an MS degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University. He has always been impressed by how people can learn to thrive as they face trials. Chris has become a therapist to help guide others through their challenges (and successes) by discovering, and utilizing, their own strengths. He has an affinity for working with teens, adults facing life/career transitions, couples yearning for greater unity, older adults desiring a deeper sense of meaning and purpose, people of all faiths, and the LGBTQ+ community. Some special areas of interest for Chris are anxiety, depression, self-worth, finding the positive voice, resilience, spirituality, and the power of faith and hope in one’s life. Chris has a wonderful wife and four amazing teenage children. He enjoys music, listening to his kid’s playlists, playing guitar, film production, editing, college football, and kayaking. He was born and raised in Lake Tahoe.
