Angela Pearson, MFT-I
Angela is a compassionate Marriage and Family Therapist Intern, with a medical emphasis, currently pursuing her Master’s Degree at National University. She earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Marriage and Family Studies from Brigham Young University-Idaho. Motivated by personal experience, Angela has dedicated herself to giving back to a community that profoundly shaped her life. Angela holds her clients in unconditional positive regard and believes in the transformative power of all individuals and small ideas. She integrates a systemic perspective, recognizing the interconnectedness of individuals within their familial and broader social contexts with a holistic bio-psycho-social spiritual approach.
Her clinical interests span depression/anxiety, addiction, trauma, women’s health, sexual health, disordered eating, divorce, grief, coping with illness in family contexts, and collaborating with client’s medical providers to ensure comprehensive care. Angela is a therapist for the whole person, and the whole family! Angela has lived in a variety of places in the United States and Canada, but keeps coming home to Utah. Married for over 30 years with six grown children and six grandchildren, Angela loves to be active. When not enthralled in reading, writing, or her clients, you will find her near water, with children and friends, in nature.
